Malad consisted of a number of villages including Orlem (also known as Valnai), Kharodi, Rathodi, Malwani, Marve, Aksa, Madh and Chincholi. History of Malad a nd how it derived its name Our group’s favorite walking place is SGNP We decided to walk on S.V.Road till Bandra. The distance from Kandivali(W) to Mahalaxmi temple is about 30 km. On a lovely Sunday morning on at 7am, we decided to walk from Kandivali station to Mahalaxmi Temple. This year we( Myself, Rasika and Saras) decided to visit Mahalaxmi temple. For the last 2 years, we have made it a point to walk long distances in the first week of January( during winter). We regularly walk on weekends from the National Park gate to Kanheri caves. Mumbaites are slowly developing the healthy habit of walking, but youngsters have yet to nurture this good habit.ĭo you know how many kilometers a person can walk in an hour? No……….well on an average a person can walk 4.9 km or 3.1 miles in an hour. Just 30 minutes every day can increase cardiovascular fitness, strengthen bones, reduce excess body fat, and boost muscle power and endurance. Walking is a great way to improve or maintain your overall health. ![]()
